The collaboration between Formula 1 and Disney took another step at Monza. Lightning McQueen – the main character from the Disney animated film Cars – was already seen on the battlefield of the upcoming Italian GP before the race weekend. And that produced some great images.

Disney and Formula 1 kicked off their collaboration last year with a fountain show after the Las Vegas GP. Since then, famous Disney characters Mickey and Minnie Mouse have been seen several times in the paddock, and the collaboration has also produced, among other things, a clothing line. The collaboration was recently extended and expanded with the animated film Cars. The fitting Disney film series is celebrating its twentieth anniversary this year. In honor of this, main character Lightning McQueen made his appearance at Monza.
