Ferrari team boss Frédéric Vasseur already looks ahead to the upcoming Italian GP. Especially for the Scuderia’s home race, the team is bringing not only a special livery as a tribute to Michael Schumacher, but also new upgrades under the ADUO scheme. Vasseur hopes to give the tifosi present a reason to celebrate: “We want to draw extra motivation from the passion of our home crowd.”

After the last home race for Max Verstappen, this weekend it is time for Ferrari to race for the home crowd. Formula 1 is traveling to Italy for the first time this year, where the tifosi will be present in large numbers for their Scuderia. Team boss Frédéric Vasseur is therefore looking forward to the weekend.
“Monza is always a very special weekend for Ferrari,” the Frenchman begins in the preview. “Racing for our tifosi gives the whole team incredible energy, and this year it has an extra emotional dimension because we are honoring Michael Schumacher and the legacy he left at our company.”

Ferrari is bringing a special livery to the Temple of Speed. Based on the color scheme from the late nineties, Ferrari is looking back to the period when Michael Schumacher celebrated his first successes with the Scuderia. According to Vasseur, the impact of the seven-time world champion is still felt within the team. “His relentless pursuit of improvement, his eye for detail, and his strong belief in teamwork are values that are still crucial for us today,” the team boss says.
ADUO upgrades
However, it is not the only thing Ferrari is bringing to its home race; upgrades are also planned. “In terms of performance, we are introducing a renewed power unit as part of the development opportunities offered by the ADUO program,” says Vasseur. “This means a step in the right direction and as we know, this year it is mainly about marginal gains. Monza is a demanding circuit and the field is very close together; our priority will therefore be to execute every aspect of the weekend as well as possible from Friday onwards. We want to draw extra motivation from the passion of our home crowd and give our tifosi a strong weekend.”
