The lawsuit currently has no direct impact on the Formula 1 team. Cadillac remains active in Formula 1 and there is no announced sale of the team.
However, the case draws extra attention to the financial position of TWG Global. Walter’s company, together with General Motors, is responsible for the new Cadillac project, which is making its debut in Formula 1 this season.

The legal proceedings also come at a time when speculation is already ongoing about the future of some of Walter’s sports interests. TWG previously denied that Cadillac F1 is for sale.
The involved insurance companies deny the allegations. The lawsuit has yet to be substantively addressed.
