According to McLaren, Lambiase will become the Chief Racing Officer, reporting to team principal Andrea Stella. According to the team, Lambiase will therefore not be the Italian’s replacement, but a kind of right-hand man. This will happen in 2028.

Red Bull Racing announced that Lambiase will remain in the service of the team until at least the end of 2027. However, the formation does confirm that he will leave after that. Not a word is mentioned about a move to McLaren in Red Bull’s statement.
