Lewis Hamilton finished second in the Canadian GP on Sunday. The seven-time world champion had to yield only to race winner Kimi Antonelli. He was already very positive about the balance of his Ferrari in the lead-up to the main event. With P2, he achieved his best result so far for the Scuderia. In the final phase, Hamilton fought a beautiful duel with Max Verstappen, who just fell short against his old rival.

“First of all, I have to thank these guys,” Hamilton pointed to his mechanics after the race. “It feels great to be able to stand here again, especially since the rest of the field is so fast. Also, I got to race with Max (Verstappen, ed.), which is always good. Everyone brought upgrades here; of course, we already introduced a broad upgrade package in Miami. The fact that this is a circuit where speed on the straights is so important and we still achieved this result is promising,” Hamilton concluded.
