Oscar Piastri secures valuable World Championship points for McLaren with his second place during the sprint race in Miami for the second Grand Prix weekend in a row. Although the main event on Sunday is yet to be raced, the Australian, together with his winning teammate, already collected fifteen valuable points. The driver is therefore satisfied: ‘But we still have to see what we can do for qualifying’.

Oscar Piastri, like teammate and sprint winner Lando Norris, had a good start in Miami and was able to immediately move up to second place in the race. The Australian then did not give up this position, even though Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc got closer and closer.
The McLaren driver speaks to interviewer David Coulthard satisfied after the shortened race. “It was difficult to keep up with Lando, but overall it was a good morning today,” he concludes after the sprint. “We still have to see what we can do for qualifying, because everyone will learn from this session. But so will we. Hopefully, we can continue this upward trend throughout the weekend.”
