Oscar Piastri secured his second podium of the season on Sunday. In Miami, the Australian had to yield only to teammate Lando Norris and an unleashed Kimi Antonelli. Piastri reflected on a chaotic weekend, during which he lost a lot of ground especially in qualifying. Still, the pace of the McLaren was encouraging and he looks forward to what the rest of the season has in store for him.

“Qualifying was a challenge for both of us (Norris, ed.), but the pace was promising today,” Piastri said afterwards. “I was able to make some overtakes, especially in the final phase. But ultimately this is just an incredibly difficult circuit, especially under these conditions. I have to thank the team for the leap we made today – all in all, this is a very encouraging result.”

“We proved this weekend that – when we are in a good position – we can hold our own,” he continued positively. “In Japan we were already doing well, but today we certainly made progress again. I am curious what the future holds; bring on Canada.” “
