Norris disappointed after renewed bad luck: 'There was a chance for good points'

Lando Norris looks back with disappointment on his premature retirement. According to the reigning world champion, a valuable opportunity was lost to collect precious points for himself and for McLaren.

“This was an opportunity to score some points again,” Norris reflects. “At the moment, we don’t expect wins or podiums, but we do need to maximize. A fifth, sixth, or seventh place; those points also count immensely.”

Despite repeated setbacks, motivation within the team remains high, although frustration is palpable. “We work incredibly hard, but we are currently not being rewarded for it. Neither the team nor myself. Sometimes we might make small mistakes, sometimes it’s just pure bad luck. We are trying our best, but it’s simply not happening right now.”
