The Monaco Grand Prix has been temporarily suspended due to an asphalt problem, and it is uncertain whether it will resume. After a crash by Charles Leclerc in turn 19, a ‘red flag’ was announced because the track surface is damaged.

Race control must now decide whether racing can continue in Monaco. The options are to suspend the race and investigate the damage. That is currently the case. But depending on the outcome, the decision could be that the race is definitively abandoned. With 67 laps completed, this is possible.

It is also possible that the drivers will get back into their cars, complete one or two formation laps, and then a standing (re)start will follow.
