Max Verstappen, together with his teammate Lucas Auer, has received a grid penalty for the first qualifying race on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. The #3 Verstappen Racing team was given a three-place grid penalty for an incident between Auer and the #941 Porsche. The four-time world champion will thus start the first ADAC 24h Qualifier from ninth position.

Not a great start to the NLS weekend for Max Verstappen and his team. The Dutchman has once again traveled to the Nürburgring this weekend, where he and his teammate Lucas Auer are preparing for the Nürburgring 24 Hours. Grid penalty
The qualifying session on Saturday morning in Germany initially secured a sixth starting position for the four-time world champion, along with his #3 Verstappen Racing team. However, because Verstappen’s teammate Auer caused a collision with the #941 Porsche during the session, the entire team received a three-place grid penalty. As a result, Verstappen will now start the first qualifying race of the weekend, the NLS4, from ninth place. The race begins on Saturday evening at 5:30 PM.
