Nico Hülkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto have confidence in Audi’s chances for the Spanish GP. The drivers say in the preview of the German manufacturer that they are really looking forward to the new track in Madrid and hope for a great finale to the European part of the season.

Hülkenberg is positive about his team’s chances. “There is always something exciting about racing on a brand new track. No one knows what to expect, so we have to adapt quickly where necessary. The last few races have been going in the right direction. If we manage to set up the car quickly, we can finish the European block on the calendar positively.”
Bortoleto is also looking forward to the race at the Madring. “I am really looking forward to Madrid,” says the 21-year-old Brazilian. “I have already prepared in the simulator, but now I am curious how the track will be in reality. A new circuit is always a great opportunity because everyone starts the weekend with the same knowledge and you still learn a lot during the sessions.”

Audi finished just outside the points at the Italian GP. Bortoleto finished eleventh and Hülkenberg twelfth. Audi has filed a protest about the result after the race. They want the FIA to take another look at Yuki Tsunoda, who incorrectly parked his VCARB at the restart. The FIA has not yet responded to this.
