Schedule GP Canada: This is when the sessions start

After the Miami GP, Formula 1 remains in North America for the Canadian Grand Prix. Three weeks after the race at the Miami International Autodrome, the premier class travels to Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal. The semi-street circuit, known for its high speeds and the notorious ‘Wall of Champions’, is the second sprint weekend since the introduction of the rule changes. Due to the time difference, the sessions take place in the Dutch evening hours. See below the full schedule of the 2026 Canadian GP.

Since the return of the Canadian GP after the corona pandemic, Max Verstappen has dominated. In 2022, 2023, and 2024, the Dutch world champion won three times in a row. George Russell ended the streak in 2025, while Andrea Kimi Antontelli secured his first podium. The Canadian GP is also a sprint weekend this year, meaning there is again only one free practice session scheduled for the premier class.
