Max Verstappen gave some fans the scare of their lives in Miami. Three supporters were asked in the paddock what they would like to say to the four-time world champion ahead of the race weekend. Before they could answer, Verstappen appeared on the scene. “I was waiting for you to say something mean,” he joked, after which he took photos and handed out autographs.

Thursday in Miami was also a day of media obligations for Max Verstappen. Usually, it is a somewhat dull day for the Dutch racing star, but amidst all questions about competitiveness, F1 regulations, and his future within Red Bull, there was also room for lightheartedness in Florida. Verstappen got the chance to surprise some loyal fans.
Three Red Bull supporters were asked in the paddock what they would like to say to Max Verstappen ahead of the Miami GP. From a distance, the Dutchman watched unnoticed. “Or you just ask me?” he finally surprised them. The supporters stepped back in astonishment, after which Verstappen reassuringly extended a hand. “I can’t believe you’re here,” they said in amazement. “I was just waiting for you to say something mean about me,” Verstappen joked in conclusion.
