“I think it’s very nice for him, I’m not surprised either. This was coming,” Verstappen said after the race in Shanghai. It ended in a disappointment for him due to a retirement, but for Antonelli it became a day to never forget. The 19-year-old Mercedes driver recorded his first GP victory and also became the first Italian GP winner since Giancarlo Fisichella twenty years ago.
