“It was a great day! We knew the car had a lot of potential, but until the first qualifying, you never know for sure. The car really came to life, especially now under slightly cooler conditions,” says the Briton afterwards.
However, he indicates that it still takes some getting used to getting the maximum out of the new cars. “They are not easy to drive and for the fans it is also not easy to understand. But I am looking forward to the race tomorrow, this could result in a fun race.”

He also looks ahead with mixed feelings. “Simple things from the past, like the start and the pit stops, are already becoming a lot more challenging with these cars. Who knows what will happen tomorrow, but we are starting from the best possible spot.”
