It is highly likely that Isack Hadjar will have to miss the upcoming Dutch GP at Zandvoort. The young Parisian is said to be suffering from a wrist injury and therefore unable to race, according to several sources. Former teammate Liam Lawson is ready to temporarily replace him at Red Bull. The New Zealander from Racing Bulls already drove two Grands Prix for the main team last year.

Lawson inherited the second Red Bull seat alongside Max Verstappen in 2025, but was dismissed after two race weekends. Since then, he has been achieving good results with the sister team from Faenza. Therefore, it is plausible that Lawson will be called up to replace Hadjar if the Frenchman has to miss out. Yuki Tsunoda, who finished last season at Red Bull and currently serves as a reserve driver, would then step in at Racing Bulls.
Isack Hadjar Wrist Injury
During preparations for the Dutch GP, Hadjar is said to have sustained an injury while training. Red Bull has so far refrained from commenting, but a wrist injury usually means a driver cannot participate in a Formula 1 race. Daniel Ricciardo and Lance Stroll have missed races in the past due to similar complaints.

If Hadjar has to skip the Dutch GP, it would mainly affect his World Championship aspirations. However, he no longer needs to prove himself to the team management. Team principal Laurent Mekies previously confirmed that Red Bull is satisfied with the performance of the 21-year-old Frenchman and is expected to extend his contract. During his rookie season, Hadjar also scored an impressive result at Zandvoort by finishing third. For his second Dutch Grand Prix, he has had a special helmet designed as a tribute to that first F1 podium.
