F1 fans were particularly impressed by Leclerc’s wedding car. The Monegasque arrived in style, behind the wheel of an expensive classic Ferrari. In a new podcast interview, he admits that he was allowed to borrow the multi-million dollar car for one day.

Wedding photos show Charles and Alexandra Leclerc arriving in a 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa. Variations of this scarlet car were dominant in the 1950s and 60s at Le Mans and Sebring, among others. The current value of the model in which the F1 driver got married is estimated at over thirty million euros. Although Leclerc has built up a nice Ferrari collection in his seven years with the Scuderia, a car of this caliber is missing from his collection.

Thus, the eight-time Grand Prix winner approached his employer. “I wanted to get married in a special car, and it could only be a Ferrari,” Leclerc said in the BSMT podcast. “We talked about it and eventually we found that car. A loyal Ferrari customer was kind enough to lend it.” It is not known who made this showpiece available for Leclerc’s wedding. Well-known owners of a 250 Testa Rossa include Aston Martin boss Lawrence Stroll and fashion designer Ralph Lauren.
