British GP gets new eye-catcher, opens swimming pool next to Silverstone Circuit

The British GP has a unique eye-catcher this season. Sponsor The Pop-Up Hotel is opening a temporary hospitality area right next to the Silverstone circuit, featuring bars, restaurants, and live programs. However, the most striking addition is a swimming pool with a bar, located directly next to the asphalt. For the organizers, it is therefore to be hoped that it remains dry during the race weekend.

The addition of a swimming pool at Silverstone fits within a broader trend in Formula 1. Visitors to a Grand Prix should be able to book a total experience, where the offering goes much further than just the action on the track. For example, guests in this brand-new hospitality area can enjoy the premier class while having a drink and a refreshing dip. Former champion Nigel Mansell is also present to keep the guests company.

Completely different experience

“The Pop-Up Hotel is really bringing something new to Silverstone, and I am very much looking forward to staying there this year,” the Englishman said in an official press release. “That level of comfort and hospitality right in the middle of the circuit – with delicious food, a relaxed atmosphere, and everything taken care of to the last detail – makes a huge difference during a race weekend. It allows you to enjoy the event in a completely different way.”

In addition to Silverstone, The Pop-Up Hotel also wants to make its mark on the Monaco GP. In Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, the French coastal town east of the principality, an exclusive experience is offered in the form of luxury villas and apartments. Furthermore, guests are connected to a yacht at the circuit via a private catamaran.
