Arvid Lindblad is not impressed by the threats from Pierre Gasly. The F1 rookie received an early drive through penalty during the recent Dutch GP. That cost him his chances of a good finish. He then decided to limit the damage in the constructors’ championship as much as possible by holding up Pierre Gasly’s Alpine. The Frenchman reacted irritably that he would get the team back.

Gasly – who finished only tenth and thus scored one world championship point for Alpine – stated afterwards that Racing Bulls ‘ruined his race’. “They played a team game for the championship and did it well,” he sighed. “Fortunately, I have a good memory, so I will make sure we look back with a smile at the end of the year,” he warned his closest rivals.
Lindblad meanwhile paid little attention to Gasly’s words and defended his own actions. “Well, that’s a nice story,” he shrugged. “In the end, I just played the team game. I don’t know. If he has a good memory, fine.” Racing Bulls ultimately scored no points in the main event at Zandvoort. The team still ranks above Alpine in the standings, although the lead is only three points.

“In the end, we do our utmost every weekend,” assured Lindblad. “I tried to help the team where I could. The reality was that I was no longer really competing in the race myself, so yes, I did what I could to help the team.”
