Max Verstappen has had a special helmet designed for the last Dutch GP at Circuit Zandvoort. The Dutchman opts for a Delft blue design with predominantly white and blue details. For Verstappen, the upcoming sprint weekend is his last home race; the Dutch Grand Prix will disappear from the F1 calendar after 2026. “Thank you Zandvoort,” he wrote on social media.

Zandvoort was part of the F1 calendar intermittently from the 1950s until the mid-1980s. In 2021, Formula 1 returned to the circuit, partly thanks to Max Verstappen’s success in the premier class. The return of the Dutch GP coincided with a dominant period for the Dutchman, who managed to win his first three home races. In the last two editions, the victory went to McLaren – Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri won respectively in 2024 and 2025. The last Dutch Grand Prix promises to be a special finale, as a sprint weekend is being organized for the first time.

To mark this milestone and close the Zandvoort chapter, Verstappen has chosen a unique color scheme for his helmet. The familiar design has been executed in Delft blue for the occasion, with a white base and striking blue details. “For my last home race,” he wrote on social media. “Thank you Zandvoort.”
