“This weekend will be a completely different challenge,” said Wolff. “The circuit resembles Budapest or Zandvoort much more. Because of this, we expect a closer fight. We need to get through the circuit as quickly as possible and get the maximum out of it from the first session.”

Mercedes comfortably leads the constructors’ championship. The Silver Arrows have 468 points and are 122 points ahead of second place Ferrari. In the drivers’ standings, Kimi Antonelli dominates for Mercedes. The Italian won his home race and is 66 points ahead of teammate George Russell.
