Andrea Kimi Antonelli has already talked with Max Verstappen about a possible joint venture into GT racing. The Dutchman has participated in endurance races several times and is therefore now an expert in combining these racing ambitions with his Formula 1 commitments. Verstappen also had advice for the young Kimi Antonelli: ‘Max said that I should first focus on this F1 year’.

Although Andrea Kimi Antonelli is currently mainly focused on his Formula 1 career – the young Italian is already leading the championship in his second season with six wins to his name – the Mercedes driver also dreams of adventures outside the premier class. For example, he would like to race an endurance race, preferably together with Max Verstappen.
“We have already talked about it, but Max told me that I should focus on this year and then we will see,” Kimi Antonelli revealed to FormulaPassion about his ambitions outside F1. Verstappen has previously participated in the famous endurance race the 24 Hours of Nürburgring, and has already expressed further ambitions to appear, among others, at the 24 Hours of Spa.

Father Marco and Valentino Rossi
Besides a collaboration with the four-time world champion, Kimi Antonelli also has the dream of sharing a race car with his father, Marco Antonelli. “Then there is also my father. Racing together in a car is a dream we share, that would be amazing,” he said. Lastly, the young Italian also names his compatriot and former MotoGP rider Valentino Rossi as a dream collaboration.
“Valentino follows me closely, we have a good bond. It’s nice to see that he also shows so much interest,” Kimi Antonelli continued. “At the moment it’s a bit more difficult, but I would like to go karting with him again, together with the guys from the Academy. I have to say that Vale is a great guy and I am really happy to have such a good friendship with him.”
