Max Verstappen confirmed this in an interview with Telesport. When asked if everyone can assume that he will still be racing in Formula 1 in 2027, he says: “Yes, definitely. Unless very crazy things happen, but I don’t expect that. I hope everyone keeps their word. But I can confirm that I will stay in Formula 1.”
Incidentally, Verstappen has a rolling contract with Red Bull Racing until the end of 2028. However, the agreement includes numerous clauses.

When asked if he is sure he will stay with Red Bull after this season, Verstappen leaves some room. “I’m not in a hurry, you know. Ideally, I want to stay connected to Red Bull for the rest of my life. I’ve always said that. But making that decision doesn’t have to be today or tomorrow. Whether it’s here or somewhere else, there’s much more involved than just the Formula 1 contract. I’m also talking about all the other projects. I’m discussing those with Red Bull as well. I’m very relaxed about it myself. We shouldn’t make it too dramatic. Even if it all doesn’t work out, that’s fine with me. That’s how I approach life,” said Verstappen, who will be in action tomorrow at the Canadian GP in Montreal, while last weekend he made his debut with his own GT3 team at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring.
