King Willem-Alexander will present the trophy next Sunday to the winner of the last Dutch GP at Zandvoort. The king will be present on Sunday, August 23, together with Queen Máxima and Princess Alexia at the Dutch racing event, the Government Information Service has announced. The Oranges have been regular guests at the Dutch Grand Prix in recent years.

Since the return of the Dutch GP in 2021, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima have not missed a single edition. Prince Bernhard junior, the king’s nephew, was also closely connected to the circuit. Since 2016 he was co-owner, but last month he announced that he would give up all his business interests, including his share in Circuit Zandvoort. Prince Bernhard presented the winner’s trophy for the past four years, but will hand over that honor to the king during the last edition. Heineken heiress Charlene de Carvalho presented the trophy during the first edition in 2021.

The last F1 race at the North Holland dune circuit is now completely sold out. It is expected that more than one hundred thousand visitors will attend the event each day. Davina Michelle will again perform the Dutch national anthem, after she also did so during the first Dutch GP in 2021. “It’s going to be really spectacular,” she said in an interview with Radio 538.
