During the filming of the movie, Idris was already closely involved with the teams, drivers, and organizers of Formula 1, making him a familiar face in the paddock. It is precisely because of this involvement that he has now become an ambassador for the sport. The goal of the collaboration is therefore to build a bridge between Formula 1 and the world of culture and entertainment. Idris will visit several Grands Prix and support the sport in various content and promotional activities to reach a new generation of fans.
‘Extremely enthusiastic’
The actor indicates that he is drawn to worlds where culture, performance, and precision come together. According to Idris, Formula 1 fits perfectly. “I am extremely excited to take on this role as brand ambassador. I already had a lot of respect for the sport, but through the film, I really gained insight into the innovation, passion, and intensity behind everything that happens,” Idris told Formula1.com.
