A unique Formula 1 helmet raised as much as €176,000 during an auction. The helmet was designed in collaboration with Disney and signed by twenty drivers – including Max Verstappen – from the current grid. The amount raised broke the record for the highest price ever paid for an unworn F1 helmet at an auction.
Disney has been collaborating with Formula 1 since the 2025 Las Vegas GP. Under the banner ‘Fuel the Magic,’ the two parties have already released a clothing line. However, the collaboration has also extended to a charity initiative: for Make-A-Wish International, Formula 1 produced a special helmet together with Disney to auction.
The helmet was eventually auctioned for a record amount via the auction platform F1 Authentics. The item fetched as much as £151,000 – approximately €176,000. The helmet is signed by twenty drivers from the current grid – including Max Verstappen, Lando Norris, and Charles Leclerc – and designed by Bret Iwan, the voice actor behind Mickey Mouse. The final amount raised broke the record for the highest publicly recorded sale price for an unworn replica of an F1 helmet at an auction.

‘Extremely proud’
The proceeds go to Make-A-Wish International, a charity that fulfills wishes of children with serious illnesses. “We are very pleased that we managed to raise this significant amount for Make-A-Wish,” said Barry Gough, CEO of Memento Exclusives – the company behind the auction platform. “We are extremely proud that Disney and F1 entrusted us with such an important cause as the auction of the ‘Fuel the Magic’ helmet. The winner not only acquired an iconic piece of memorabilia but also made a huge contribution to an incredibly good cause.”
