The last Grand Prix of the Netherlands takes me back to the first place where this story began for me. I first heard about the return of the Dutch GP from Charlie Whiting. For those who didn’t know him: Charlie was not the first, but he was the O.G. Formula 1 race director, a role that made him legendary and which he fulfilled with flair, from 1997 until his death in 2019.
