Max Verstappen hopes to bounce back next weekend at the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps. The four-time world champion from Red Bull slid off the track ten days ago during the British GP. Afterwards, he was furious with the team. It was Verstappen’s second crash in a short time, after his crash in qualifying for the Austrian Grand Prix.

“It was nice to have a break for a while,” says Max Verstappen in a press release from Red Bull. “Although Silverstone was a tough weekend, I worked with the team in the factory simulator last week.”

“As for Spa: that is my favorite circuit on the calendar and it is always great to return there. I think it can become more challenging due to the energy management restrictions on the straights, but we have performed well here in the past, so you never know what will happen,” said the four-time world champion from Red Bull.
Special helmet
Verstappen confirms that he will wear his special helmet with an orange lion again at Spa-Francorchamps. “A tribute to the fans, who are amazing here and have supported me enormously over the years,” said Verstappen. The Limburg native has won the Belgian GP three times in the past, in 2021, 2022, and 2023.
