The chaotic Formula 2 race ended in disappointment for the Dutchman Laurens van Hoepen. The driver became a victim of the battle between Varrone and Stenshorne and thus lost important positions. The race in the feeder series was repeatedly interrupted by safety cars, but that did not matter for winner Gabriele Minì. He took his first F2 victory.

The feeder series race started behind the safety car. By the time the Formula 2 race was supposed to start, it was already pouring down over Miami. The race control still decided on a standing start for the race, which turned out to be chaotic. Several drivers went off track in the first corner, while championship leader Nikola Tsolov spun. The Dutchman Laurens van Hoepen also fell back due to a poor start. After the first meters, he was driving in thirteenth place. A safety car was immediately called onto the track.
The safety car then led the cars through the pit lane, but not every driver seemed to realize that. Maini and Camara stayed out. In lap three, the safety car went back in, but it did not take long before it came back out again. The restart immediately ended in drama for Goethe, who went off track. The chaos continued, so that ultimately the full race distance could not be completed. Laurens van Hoepen became a victim of the battle between Varrone and Stenshorne. The Dutch driver went off track but was still able to continue.
First win for Minì
At the front of the field, an exciting battle broke out between Rafael Câmara, Gabriele Minì and Dino Beganovic in the final phase, with Mini, for MP Motorsport, coming out on top. The Italian thus took his first victory in Formula 2. Van Hoepen finished eleventh, just outside the top ten.
