Albon was able to get out of the damaged car himself after the crash. He then reported to the pits to explain to the team what he thought went wrong. It soon became clear that a collision with a groundhog was the cause. After a short interruption, the other 21 drivers were able to continue the session. Nothing is known about the fate of the groundhog.
