After his strong third place at the Italian GP in Monza last weekend, Max Verstappen is looking forward with confidence to the first Formula 1 race through the streets of Madrid this coming Sunday. “There will be many tricky corners,” expects the four-time world champion from Red Bull.

Max Verstappen: “When we look at Madrid, it is difficult to estimate how we will do there. We have trained on the simulator and it seems like a more challenging circuit to drive on, as with most street circuits, especially because there are so many tricky corners. We will also have to assess the grip when we drive on Friday and build from there. The practice sessions will be important to gain as much insight as possible before qualifying. That said: it is a new circuit for everyone and hopefully we can get off to a good start right away and make a good start.”
