Ferrari may possibly race with a special livery during the upcoming Italian GP. Italian media report that the Scuderia wants to pay tribute to Michael Schumacher’s first and last victories in red. Thirty years ago, the celebrated German scored his first win with Ferrari in Barcelona. His last triumph was twenty years ago in China. In honor of these milestones, the team would bring back an iconic color scheme during the home race at Monza.

In 1996, Michael Schumacher, who had recently won two world titles with Benetton, won three Grands Prix for Ferrari. He scored his first victory for the Scuderia during the Spanish GP in Barcelona, where he was behind the wheel of the F310. According to Italian sources, the livery of that iconic car is now, thirty years later, being used again on the SF-26. It promises to be a beautiful sight: the F310 was finished in classic Ferrari red, with black details and gold rims.
On social media, Ferrari already shared a small teaser for the upcoming home race at Monza. “Home is calling,” read the caption. The footage shows a flag with the prancing horse and various details of the classic F310. The Italian GP will be held on the weekend of September 5 and 6.
