Oliver Bearman has once again emphasized that his future lies with Ferrari. The Haas driver has recently been regularly linked with a possible transfer to Aston Martin, but makes it clear that for now he fully supports Ferrari’s development program. The young Brit has been under contract with the Scuderia for years and already drove a substitute race in 2024, even before his official Formula 1 debut with Haas.

Bearman performed remarkably well during his first full season in 2025, but the path to a race seat at Ferrari has become less straightforward. In the current season, he towers above teammate Esteban Ocon, but due to the lack of competitiveness within Haas, he is less in the spotlight. Moreover, the improved performances of Lewis Hamilton have increased the competition in Maranello, leading to speculation in the paddock about alternative options for the Brit. In the Beyond The Grid podcast, Bearman was already asked whether Aston Martin would be an attractive alternative.
Oliver Bearman dreams of Ferrari
The 21-year-old firmly rejected that possibility. “I am fully committed to what Ferrari has offered me and they have supported me from the start, since I came into Formula 3. I am here only because of them,” he wanted to emphasize. “On the one hand, I owe a lot to Ferrari. For me, Ferrari is the dream team, not only because I am part of the development program, but also because it is probably the most iconic brand in the world. My goal remains to become a Ferrari driver one day. That is how I see it at the moment. We just have to wait and see how things develop further.”
Although Bearman has a lot of confidence in Aston Martin’s future, he currently sees no role for himself there. “Aston Martin is going through a difficult time, but I am convinced that one day they will be incredibly strong,” he added. “But I wouldn’t say that I am already looking at them at this moment.” After the first half of the season, Bearman is thirteenth in the drivers’ championship with eighteen points. This means he is performing significantly better than Ocon, who occupies seventeenth place with three points.
