Nico Rosberg is anything but a fan of the new street circuit the Madring. The German said after the race at Sky Sports that, in his opinion, thorough adjustments need to be made to make overtaking easier. Rosberg also finds it remarkable that Carlos Sainz was involved in designing the circuit.

During the analysis after the race, Sky Sports presenter Simon Lazenby questions the design of the track and how you can design a circuit without overtaking opportunities. Rosberg immediately responds: “Carlos Sainz is the ambassador. We need to criticize Sainz.”

“They need to review the layout again for next year and at least add one good overtaking opportunity,” Rosberg concludes. “We really need that on this track because it is too difficult to overtake anywhere right now.”

Rosberg cites Oscar Piastri as an example regarding the problems with passing. “Just look at Piastri and Franco Colapinto. Piastri had new tires and couldn’t get past at all, even though he was much faster.”
