Lewis Hamilton is aiming for his first victory at Circuit Zandvoort during the upcoming Dutch GP. The seven-time world champion has an impressive number of wins to his name, including in the junior categories, but a triumph at the dune circuit is still missing. That may change during the last Dutch Grand Prix. Hamilton already secured his first win with Ferrari this year and looks remarkably competitive.

“I am very proud of the progress we have made at the start of the season and during the recent Grands Prix,” Hamilton said during a press moment in Zandvoort. “I think the new regulations posed quite a challenge for everyone, but as a team we were incredibly focused on our goal. As a result, there is a lot of confidence. I can’t ask more from Ferrari, except that we need to perform even more effectively in the second half of the season.”
‘Ferrari in ideal position’
“We have made many changes within the team and in the processes we apply; that’s why I think we are now in an ideal position,” Hamilton continued proudly. “It took us a whole year to align everything, but I believe we have succeeded.”

Asked about his chances during the Dutch Grand Prix, he admitted that he is aiming for a first victory in the Zandvoort dunes. “I have never won here. I have won at almost every other circuit and I definitely want to change that. It is truly an incredible circuit that gives you a lot of energy; the crowd is fantastic after all.”
