The very last Dutch GP at Zandvoort has a dream scenario according to Jan Lammers. The sporting director of the Dutch Grand Prix hopes that Max Verstappen can finish his last home race with a victory. In the podcast Formula 1 Paddock Talk, Lammers explains why such a win would be the ultimate crowning achievement in his opinion.

“I still think the ultimate seal would be if Max manages to win it. Also as a tribute to him,” says Lammers. “He still has to arrange that himself,” he jokes.
But at least as important as the victory itself, according to Lammers, is the farewell that Verstappen could receive afterwards. The Dutchman has made a huge contribution to the popularity of motorsport in his own country and should be extensively thanked during his last home race.
“It would be nice if he is given the opportunity for the entire audience to thank him, with a celebration that already gives me goosebumps in advance,” says Lammers. “As thanks for how much good he has done for motorsport.”
