Franco Colapinto was robbed during his vacation at the Italian Lake Como. He himself reports this on his social media channels. The Argentine tried to enjoy the summer break in Italy, but to his great shock discovered that thieves had stolen, among other things, clothing and his set for maté, an Argentine drink. “I hope those who took it are happy with it!”, said a sarcastic Colapinto.

For the entire Formula 1 paddock, it is the summer break, so there is no action to be seen either in factories or on the track. Many drivers are also on vacation, but for Franco Colapinto, this did not mean a quiet trip to Italy. During an outing to Lake Como, the Argentine driver discovered that thieves had made off with his personal belongings.
Colapinto posted several messages on his social media channels about the incident. According to PlanetF1, the Alpine driver revealed in a now deleted post how, among other things, his clothing and a set to make maté, an Argentine drink, were stolen. “Who would have expected Italians to steal everything from a Latino, I’m sure they don’t like maté,” he wrote. However, this controversial post was soon removed again.
The Argentine then posted a series of photos from his vacation, writing in Spanish: “These are the last photos of, among other things, this clothing. I hope those who took it are happy with it!”
Multiple drivers robbed
Colapinto is far from the first victim of theft in Formula 1 in recent years. Earlier, Valtteri Bottas told how his car was stolen in Miami, and Carlos Sainz revealed how he himself managed to overpower thieves who wanted to make off with his watch after the 2023 Italian GP.
