Prince Bernhard of Orange sells all his business interests, including those in Circuit Zandvoort. In addition, he relinquishes various investments in private and commercial real estate. The interests are sold to his business partners Menno de Jong and Coen Groeneveld, a spokesperson for the prince said in a statement. Zandvoort has been the setting for the Dutch GP since 2021, but will disappear from the F1 calendar after this year.

Prince Bernhard of Orange-Nassau and his business partner Menno de Jong took over Circuit Zandvoort on February 12, 2016, from the previous majority shareholder, Hans Ernst. Through their company Chapman Andretti Partners, they bought the circuit. The prince played an important role in the return of Formula 1 to Zandvoort. In 2019, an agreement was reached with FOM, after which the Dutch GP returned to the calendar in 2021.
After five successful editions of the modern Dutch GP, Max Verstappen and company will come to Zandvoort one last time in 2026, before the curtain falls on the Dutch racing event. The organization decided last year not to extend the cooperation with Formula 1. Now Van Oranje has also sold his interests in the circuit. In addition, he relinquishes his interests in the Media Park in Hilversum and the IT company Levi9. These are also sold to his business partners. Financial details about the sale have not been disclosed.
