Based on Friday’s practice sessions, Max Verstappen believes there’s still some work to be done at Red Bull for the remainder of the Hungarian GP. The Dutchman said this on Friday evening, looking back at both sessions. In terms of results, he was doing well: P2 and P4. “But there’s work to be done,” he stated via Verstappen.com.

That Ferrari had things best sorted on the first day of the race weekend is crystal clear. After Charles Leclerc was fastest in FP1, Lewis Hamilton followed his teammate’s example in FP2. Verstappen remained on track in his Red Bull car in terms of results, but had his own issues here and there.

“It was a difficult day, it was hard to find a good balance in the car,” said the four-time world champion. “We need to make the car more consistent over a lap and also achieve that during the long runs. So there’s still work to be done for Saturday.”
