Max Verstappen and Isack Hadjar will receive a new engine for the race weekend at Spa-Francorchamps. Red Bull has decided to replace the power units of both their drivers for the remainder of the Belgian Grand Prix weekend, the team announced during the first free practice.
For Max Verstappen, Red Bull’s decision does not mean a grid penalty, as he still falls within the maximum allowed number with the announced new parts. The engine change follows after Verstappen struggled with power unit issues during the British GP. The official document published by the FIA states that Verstappen will receive, among other things, a new internal combustion engine, turbocharger, and exhaust set.

The Dutchman is not the only driver running new engine parts at Spa-Francorchamps. Earlier, McLaren also announced that Lando Norris will receive a grid penalty because the team is installing new engine parts in his MCL40.
