Raymond Vermeulen – Max Verstappen’s manager – has once again spoken out about the future plans of the four-time world champion and his contract situation at Red Bull. For weeks, Verstappen’s further Formula 1 career has been a popular topic of discussion, but the speculations were further fueled after the driver’s recent crash at Silverstone. “Max wants to finish his time at Red Bull,” he says, among other things.
The question that still occupies minds in the paddock is: will Max Verstappen stay at Red Bull or leave? After previously confirming in Canada that he would remain in Formula 1, Verstappen was furious with the Austrian team after his crash at Silverstone. This sparked rumors again that the Dutchman will soon say goodbye to Red Bull.
‘Max wants to fulfill his contract’
Manager Raymond Vermeulen tells the Austrian OE24 once again that Verstappen basically wants to stay at Red Bull. “There is a lot written about it. But the truth is that Max wants to finish his time at Red Bull,” says Vermeulen. “He has a contract until 2028 and wants to fulfill it.”

According to Vermeulen, it is therefore not certain that Verstappen will make use of his much-discussed exit clause. “The fact that this clause exists does not mean we will activate it. We could have done that in recent years as well, but we did not.”
The manager of Verstappen also still harbors hope for better results thanks to the further development of the RB22. “Probably not yet in Spa, but the chances increase in Budapest and Zandvoort. The new, in-house developed Red Bull engine is actually better than most people thought,” concludes Vermeulen.
