Liam Lawson has a contract until the end of the current season. Although nothing has been confirmed yet about 2027 from his team Racing Bulls, there are increasing rumors that Nikola Tsolov might move up to the Formula 1 team. Lawson – currently tenth in the drivers’ championship – is not worried yet.
“Honestly, I haven’t really thought about that yet,” Lawson said to various media. “The summer break is usually a time to think things over, and I think we still have a few races to go until then. So at the moment, I’m just focusing on continuing what we have done so far.”

“But as far as Formula 1 is concerned: I haven’t been here that long, but long enough to see how emotions run high,” continues the Racing Bulls driver. “And I haven’t really thought about that yet.”
‘They are just rumors’
The New Zealander is supported by Racing Bulls team principal Alan Permane, who also denies the rumors that Lawson’s Formula 1 days are numbered. “They are just rumors,” said the team principal. “Honestly, we haven’t even talked about it. Not at all.”
