The McLaren team tested on behalf of Pirelli in April at the Nürburgring Grand Prix circuit. Not long after, both Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri made a trip to the infamous Nordschleife, the more than twenty-kilometer-long circuit where Max Verstappen would later make his 24-hour debut. Norris first took part in the well-known Touristenfahrten, but by the end of the day, both drivers had the circuit all to themselves. Watch the footage below.

Each equipped with a McLaren 750S supercar, Norris and Piastri headed out onto the Nordschleife. McLaren had exclusive access to the world-famous German circuit and captured all the action between the two F1 drivers. “Get out of the way,” shouts an enthusiastic Norris, who has started his lap behind teammate Piastri. “I have no idea where I am,” he jokes afterwards. Officially, the extremely long circuit has no less than 73 corners, but when all the small kinks and tight turns are counted, that number rises to well over one hundred.

“I have some idea which corner this is, but I wouldn’t know its name,” Piastri also admits, as the duo approaches the famous Karussell, a banked corner with a 33-degree incline. “I’ve always wanted to do this,” beams Norris as he bounces through the iconic corner. “Here we’re going to make a jump,” the Australian responds shortly after. “You don’t say that often on a circuit.” Both McLaren drivers actually get all four wheels off the ground. As they approach the finish, Piastri already seems infected with the Nürburgring virus: “One more lap?”
