Another driver change at the Nürburgring! Max Verstappen handed over the Mercedes-AMG GT3 to teammate Daniel Juncadella. The Dutchman drove his third stint on Sunday between 09:00 and 11:00. He made good use of his time on the circuit: the gap to Verstappen Racing’s main rival, the Mercedes of sister team RAVENOL, is more than half a minute. With less than four hours on the clock, Verstappen may still take action during the final stint.

Juncadella got into the #3 Mercedes just after 11:00. Verstappen had again driven a double stint and it is expected that the Spaniard will also take on more than two hours for the team. The Dutch F1 driver had already fought his way to the lead during the night, after which his teammates managed to maintain the lead. Thanks to Verstappen’s morning session, however, the gap to the RAVENOL team has further increased. It should also be said that Mercedes has already issued team orders; both cars must safely cross the finish line.
