Additionally, the Grand Prix in the US state of Florida is the second sprint weekend of the season. The weather also threatens to play a role during the race at the Miami International Autodrome, with a chance of thunderstorms during the main event.

But this weekend threatens to end the streak of sun-drenched races that have taken place in Miami in recent years. The sun will shine brightly, so sunscreen is definitely recommended for the fans in the stands. Friday afternoon, when the sprint qualifying takes place at 4:30 PM local time, the temperature will even rise to 31 degrees Celsius, with only ‘a slight breeze’ as possible relief.

On Saturday, the sun continues to shine brightly, and the temperature will already be around 31 degrees Celsius when the sprint is held at 12:00 PM local time. The temperature rises again on Saturday afternoon, making it 33 degrees Celsius during the qualifying for the main event. The chance of relief is present during the race itself, when there is a 49% chance of thunderstorms over the circuit. However, it will still be 31 degrees Celsius in the ‘Sunshine State’.
