Jos Verstappen will once again participate in the Belgian Rally Championship (BRC) in 2026. Together with co-driver Renaud Jamoul, Verstappen senior took the title in this rally championship last September. In a Citroën C3 Rally 2, in the colors of Verstappen Racing and Red Bull, the duo hopes to defend their first title this year.
Jos Verstappen, who also celebrates his 54th birthday today, is looking forward to getting back behind the wheel of his rally car. “Since I discovered rallying in 2022, it has become my passion,” the driver tells Verstappen.com. “It’s just great: the challenge of driving a rally car, the communication with my co-driver, and the collaboration with the team. We keep pushing each other to hopefully compete for podium finishes regularly again. For 2026, we have planned about fifteen rally events, a fantastic program.”

Verstappen junior also enthusiastic
Max Verstappen is also closely following his father’s adventures. “I am very happy to see that my father continues to push in rallying, under the banner of Verstappen Racing,” says the four-time Formula 1 champion. “Last season, Jos and Renaud showed what they are capable of. Winning the title in the Belgian Rally Championship was a great achievement. Rallying is very different from what I do, but like all forms of motorsport, it requires a lot of work and dedication behind the scenes. With the momentum from last year carried into 2026, I am convinced they can compete at the front again. It’s great to see that Jos is still enjoying racing and going full throttle.”
